Tea party

tea party candidates for president

I don't believe our borders should be open but we have let it happen for many years. Now they want to let drug dealers and rapists go free to put strawberry farmers and mother's whose children skip school in jail. But in all actuality we need laws that are effective to contain the situation. This law breeds hate and chaos and is uneffective. In order to contain the situation we need to get these people documented and on a tax base and to require a drivers lisence (for public safety reasons) and to deport the violent crimminals. But a law like that would require rational thinking and people would rather do a lot of name calling than actually control the situation effectivly. Tired of incompetence.

I am appalled that members of our community believe it is okay to enter the United States illegally and that they should be welcomed with open arms.  I wonder what their true motive is - is it that they want to make it easier for terrorists and hardened criminals to enter the US by opening our borders to everyone?  Where were these folks when the NAZI's needed a place to hide?

As a nation we talk about protecting ourselves from terrorists and these "faith based" groups believe our border should be wide open to illegals.  What part of committing an illegal act makes you a criminal don't these folks understand.  Using their logic rapists, killers, thieves, child molesters should be forgiven their illegal acts.

It is against the law to enter this country illegally.  We have immigration quotas set by the federal government.  These folks choose to sneak into the US under the cover of darkness and the faith based wish to forgive them their illegal act in the name of religion.

It is one thing to be Christian, it is another thing to be naive and believe that federal immigration laws should be ignored and that somehow doing that will lead to a secure, protected, economically sound America.

If these folks really want to improved the quality of life for illegals - go to their country and help create a favorable economic environment so they can earn a living wage and stay there.

They are reading a different version of the Bible than I am....
You people don't want to protect your gates...you want lawbreakers in your cities...
you are nothing but welcome mats wanting to be stepped upon.

Protect your gates!  Protect your Cities!  Protect your families!  Obey the Law!
and if any want to enter the gates legally, then let them do so.

John 10:1
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
and so it is also with illegal aliens.

Bible Scriptures Verses and Illegal Immigration

Here are some Bible verses in the scriptures dealing with illegal immigration:
  • Deut 32: 8 When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, When He separated the sons of man, He set the boundaries of the peoples According to the number of the sons of Israel.
  • Proverbs 22:8 and Proverbs 23:10 and 11 speak of the establishment of borders. We are not seeking to claim all aspects of promise nor application to the nation Israel. However, we do see that God's pattern for a nation included respect for their border.
  • Jesus Himself affirmed the place of civil government in Christianit, in Matthew 21:22 render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's.

Romans 13 establishes authority for civil government and defines the role thereof. One has to consider the fact of massive illegal immigration in light of the biblical teaching of the rule of law and the role of civil governments. The US traditionally has honored a level of immigration, with waves of immigration at various times. However, the illegal nature of much immigration should be a question of concern, in light of Romans 13. Immigration of foreigners was used as a curse or punishment upon Israel. II Chronicles 36 describes the use of foreigners to exact judgment upon a disobedient Israel.
The rising status of immigrants to a superior status was a curse upon Israel according to Deuteronomy 28: 43-44; 43 The foreign resident among you will rise higher and higher above you, while you sink lower and lower. 44 He will lend to you, but you won't lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail.

What Should a Church Christian do about Immigration?

Christians in the church should be concerned about the invasion of our country by strange foreigners or illegal immigration. We respectfully disagree with the United Methodist Church whose open letter opposes the new law concerning illegal aliens in Alabama. This letter declares this law as "UNJUST."   We believe it is a "JUST" law and it's a great step in the right direction and that Governor Bentley, Senator Beason
and Representative Micky Hammon are to be commended.

Illegal Immigration and Christian Duty of the Church

So what should our church be doing about illegal immigration? What is my Christian duty? Something has to be done to bring control to the chaos caused by the 200,000 people living  in the state illegally, and yes this is a good moral and spiritual thing to do.  The federal government has been totally inept and misguided in this regard.  My wife and I have provided groceries to many Hispanic people and saved Hispanic babies at abortion mills and paid for prenatal care for several women, without caring if they are legal are illegal. We'll continue to do these things and if anybody wants to prosecute us, go ahead.

Let's not confuse the roles God gave the church and government.  Laws can be improved, don't throw the baby out with the bath water In fact, concerning babies, how about some righteous indignation over the 11,000 babies murdered in the womb each year in Alabama and the several hundred that are the result of child rape and the abortionists and the adult rapists who perpetrate these hideous crimes and nothing is done?

Immigration is the legal means by which one becomes a citizen of the United States. It has historically required an application process for citizenship, including a test, an investigation, and an oath of allegiance to our Country and Constitution. To call those illegally residing here "immigrants" is an insult to those who have demonstrated the patience, responsibility, and fortitude to immigrate here legally.

When a person – from any country – enters our Country illegally, makes no application for citizenship, does not learn our language, does not care for our customs, and seeks only the benefits of living in America, they have not “immigrated” here at all. They are not "immigrants," but rather, "illegal aliens." Recent "May Day" demonstrations by illegal aliens that feature Mexican flags, anti-American slogans, and racist statements against "gringos" only confirm the intentions of many illegal aliens to not assimilate into our culture and way of life, but to displace it with their own. Their lack of "decency and propriety of conduct" show they neither desire nor deserve to be legal citizens.

Nevertheless, regardless of a person's status as immigrant or illegal alien, the Bible does say in Leviticus 19 that one should "love [the stranger] as thyself" and should not mistreat him. Leviticus 24:22 states that the same law shall apply "for the stranger, as for one of your own country." Deuteronomy 27:19 warns that "Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger."

As Christians we are always to be concerned for the salvation and wellbeing of others, regardless of their citizenship. Justice requires that the laws be applied equally to citizens and aliens alike. Neither is to be treated unfairly or given special treatment. But because illegal aliens are not citizens, they do not enjoy the protection of regulations pertaining to such things as wage, labor, and housing. On the other hand, although they often pay little or no taxes, they receive the benefits of government welfare, health care, and education paid for by lawful taxpayers.

Nor are our immigration laws being applied equally. Illegal aliens from Central and South America are given special treatment when their presence here is excused, while those from other parts of the world suffer years of waiting and mountains of red tape to obtain American citizenship. Many legal immigrants are fleeing religious persecution, political oppression, or even civil war. Those who propose amnesty are actually rewarding and encouraging unlawful behavior by those who get here by simply crossing a river, a desert, or a dusty road just to seek a job.

Unfortunately, too many Christians have been deceived to think that our duty to love and care for illegal aliens means that we should ignore immigration laws and disregard our borders. But as President Ronald Reagan once said, "A nation without borders is not a nation." Our borders are compromised by illegal immigration, infiltration of terrorists, and by government policies of regional partnership that actually dilute the sovereignty of the United States. The choice is not between our Christian duty and our border laws - it's a matter of life or death for our nation.

The same God who commands that we treat aliens and "strangers" with righteousness and justice also clearly defined the physical borders for the nation of Israel, in detailed geographical terms, in Numbers 34. Israel, then and today, would not exist without borders?and neither will America.

We should love and care for "the stranger among us" and always be mindful of their need for salvation. But we also have a duty to apply all laws equally and fairly without regard to race, creed, color, or national origin. Our immigration laws must be strictly and justly enforced. It's not only a matter of national survival - it's our Christian duty.

Christians Respect Borders of a Nation, Limiting Immigration

The importance of borders of a nation:

Proverbs 22:8 and Proverbs 23:10 and 11 speak of the establishment of borders. We are not seeking to claim all aspects of promise nor application to the nation Israel. However, we do see that God's pattern for a nation included respect for their border.

ILLEGALLY YOU GET 12 YEARS HARD LABOR.

IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY.

IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT.

IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI ARABIAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.

IF YOU CROSS THE VENEZUELAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU
WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND YOUR FATE WILL BE SEALED.

IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN BORDER ILLEGALLY
YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO POLITICAL PRISON TO ROT.

IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET!
A JOB, A DRIVERS LICENSE,
