Gov. Bentley wants to raise the gas tax again

Bentley, in Gulf Shores Friday, said a gas tax hike “will certainly be strongly looked at” by the Alabama legislature next spring as a way to pay for road and bridge improvements.

According to Governor Bentley the answer to how much money the state government has is “never enough.” Gov. Bentley is pushing the legislature to raise the gas tax again in advance of the 2016 regular session after his proposal to raise the gas tax was rejected in the 2015 regular and special sessions.

Despite the governor claiming there was a $200 million budget defecit crisis in 2015, the Education Trust Fund has a surplus of $140 million. That $140 million could be spent improving roads and bridges in Alabama instead of teaching the children of Alabama to believe in atheism, evolution, Islam, pre-marital sex, abortion, socialism, and communism. The public school system teaches all of those things which are also contrary to scripture and it teaches them in even greater emphasis under the Common Core curriculum.

Tell Gov. Bentley to stop raising taxes and use the current tax money responsibly.
